This privacy policy explains how myguitartutor collects, uses, and protects your personal information. Plain-English summary: we collect only what we need to make the service work, we don't sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
What we collect
When you sign up we collect your name, email address, and teaching details that you provide. When you use the free tools, we don't require any account — your data stays in your browser unless a tool explicitly asks to save something.
How we use it
We use your information to provide and improve the service, communicate with you about your account, and (if you opt in) send occasional product updates. We do not sell your data.
Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, or destruction.
Cookies & analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 on the production
myguitartutor.com domain to understand which tools and pages get used.
We do not use it for advertising, ad personalisation, or profile-building, and we do
not share data with third parties beyond what Google requires to provide the
service. Staging and preview environments load no analytics at all.
Analytics cookies are set only after you accept via the consent banner on your first visit. If you reject, no analytics cookies are written and no events are sent. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer, which re-opens the banner.
We use Google's Consent Mode v2: the default state for all consent types (analytics, advertising, ad personalisation, ad user data) is denied until you explicitly accept. IP addresses are anonymised before being processed.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] for any privacy-related requests.
