Today we’ve just implemented a new feature which can be integrated into new a existing bespoke Guitar Tutor apps - student scheduling.
Here’s how simple it is to book a student in for a one-off lesson.
You can book a lesson at any time on your calendar at any time and you can choose from a list of durations which can be customised for your own requirements. Add some notes for the lesson if you need to and the lesson will be booked and the student.
Custom actions can then be triggered if you require them such as notifying the student that their lesson has been booked.
Book recurring lessons
Recurring lessons can also be booked here with start and optional end dates - useful if you’re booking a long-term student in or are doing a block of lessons.
Set an availability window
One nice feature we’ve implemented based on some of the existing apps we’ve developed is to provide times when you’re available to teach. This will keep your lessons scheduled inside the times you want to work.
You can still book lessons outside of these times (you’ll just get a warning) but if students want to request a reschedule they can see when you’re available times are.
### Manage your time off
You’ll naturally have times when you’re unable to make lessons for personal events, time off or sickness. We can enable a holiday management system within your app booking which enables you to block out your calendar dates when you’re unavailable and cancel any lessons that fall within this.
Of course, this can be customised to your needs such as automatically cancelling lessons or putting the students into a re-schedule pool where you can then try and find them other times to teach.
